An interesting dance took place between owner/architect/potential investors throughout this project. The coordination of an initial design proposal on a recently sub-divided erf in the Johannesburg-South region acts as the catalyst for market analysis on this development.

The design required a budget sensitive approach, while still creating an out-of-the-ordinary residence that will catch the eye of any buyer. All this, in addition to a 15/20% return on investment to our investors.

With specific spatial constraints in place, we set about designing a quaint 120sqm, 3-bedroom home on a rather difficult wedge site.

Keeping circulation space to a minimum, making sure all bedrooms and living spaces receive Northern light and creating a direct connection to the surrounding garden provided us with a chance to deliver a design that checks all the right boxes in terms of resale value.
